DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a Digital Communications Specialist to join our marketing team.

The Digital Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for the execution of digital marketing efforts to generate positive publicity and enhance the reputation of DoveLewis within the public eye locally and nationally. This position works collaboratively with the marketing team. This position reports to the Director of Community Engagement, works collaboratively with the marketing team, and other departments.

This is a hybrid position split between work from home and a waterfront office with onsite staff parking.

Salary range is $50-60,000 annually depending on education, certification, and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with the marketing team, execute sales-focused, digital marketing tactics, including email, display advertising, social advertising, and PPC campaigns, developing content when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with third-party media vendors to improve digital marketing results.
  • Lead email marketing campaigns, using a/b testing, remarketing, and list segmentation to drive quality traffic and achieve conversions
  • Manage and segment customer lists within marketing, CRMs, and data warehouse for healthy, growing lists that support sales and marketing goals
  • Develop systems for nurture and lead generation campaigns, including automations.
  • In coordination with the Content Marketing Coordinator, recommend, implement, and manage SEO optimization tactics.
  • Implement inbound marketing capabilities to nurture leads through the buyer’s journey, including landing pages, advertising, analytics, and contextual content.
  • Support YouTube channels and memberships with an emphasis on revenue generation
  • Collaborate on the creation of content for DoveLewis communication pieces which includes but is not limited to, social media, email marketing, blogs, newsletters, and websites
  • Prepare accurate reports on campaigns’ performance and budget, making recommendations for effective use of resources and maximized results
  • Analyze digital marketing trends and recommend new growth strategies regularly
  • Copyedit and proofread marketing and communications collateral as needed.
  • Maintain planning tools and documents such as business requirements, content calendars, and marketing plans

Who we are looking for:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience delivering digital marketing campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, AdWords, and AdSense
  • Strong knowledge of MailChimp or similar email marketing platform
  • Experience with HubSpot Marketing, Sales, and Service hubs a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, YouTube, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of CMS and html coding a plus
  • Skill in creative thinking and writing for marketing campaigns
  • Intermediate level skills using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This position has regular contact with volunteers, event guests, donors and prospective donors, the media, and the general public as well as daily contact with DoveLewis staff members. Must possess ability to communicate with discretion, tact, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously.

Education and Experience

  • Experience or education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or other related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing role or related field.
  • Experience developing content and managing multiple projects.
