DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking to hire a Relief Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team to provide additional support during the COVID-19 crisis.

Wage: Starts at $26-$35.50 hourly, plus an overnight differential for applicable shifts.

As a Relief Technician or Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for providing our clients with a top-notch customer service experience as well as providing exemplary veterinary nursing care. You will assist with client triages and updates, as well as assisting with the running of in-house labwork.

Your ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Minimum of three years working in the veterinary field as a technician or assistant.
  • Current Veterinary Technician license in good standing to practice in Oregon preferred.
  • AA or BA/BS degree from accredited veterinary technician program preferred.
  • Familiarity with IDEXX equipment preferred.
  • Experience in critical care or emergency small animal care in private, non-profit, or educational organization preferred.
  • Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute.
