DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hosting an in-person hiring event for full-time Client Service Representatives to join our Client Experience Team. We are currently hiring for Swing shifts.

About the Hiring Event:

The hiring event will take place on Friday, 5/30 with 20 minute interview timeslots from 920am-5pm. We will be hosting the event at our brand new DoveLewis South hospital, located at 1932 NW Pettygrove St, Portland OR 97209. Interview scheduling invitations will be sent out on Friday, 5/23.

About the Client Experience Team:

As a member of the Client Experience Team, you are the first point of contact for clients and their pets, whether they are arriving for an emergency or an appointment. This role combines strong client service with administrative duties, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for pet owners during what can often be stressful situations for them and their pets. Daily tasks center around communication with clients, the hospital staff, third parties like referring veterinarians, and the administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and taking payments.

Wage Range: Overnight and weekend differential pay is available for applicable shifts.

$19.95-$22 hourly for Client Service Representatives

Schedule:

Client Service Representatives (CSR) work 3/4 rotating schedules with 10 hours shifts. This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy, and you get 3 or 4 days off in a row every week! DoveLewis is a 24/7/365 emergency hospital with day, swing, and overnight shifts and requires the ability to work at least some of every weekend and holidays.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human-animal bond.
  • Minimum 1 year of in-person, fast-paced customer service experience is required
  • Experience supporting a wide variety of clients or customers in challenging situations
  • Experience scheduling appointments preferred, especially medical scheduling
  • Veterinary or medical field experience preferred
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and remain composed in busy environments
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
  • Strong proficiency with desktop computers and the ability to learn veterinary software
  • Ability to accurately handle cash transactions
  • Ability to type at least 45 words per minute while engaging with clients
  • Comfortable handling multi-line phone systems while managing in-person interactions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
