DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is looking for an Operations Assistant to join our team!

About this Position:

As the Operations Assistant, you will be responsible assisting the Operations Manager and Procurement and Medical Equipment Specialist with resolving medical equipment, inventory, and facility-related issues and requests. You will also be responsible for researching and procuring products and equipment for the organization, particularly in the Whiskers building.

Common duties will include performing routine inspections of medical equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning with an emphasis on lab equipment and machinery; maintaining and managing inventory to ensure all equipment, medications, and supplies are available; working closely with the Operations Manager, Procurement and Equipment Specialist, and Inventory team to identify equipment and inventory needs; log data for things such as vehicle parking registration, project schedules, invoices, etc.; inventory related tasks such as ordering and stocking; ensuring proper storage of controlled medications; monitoring for and resolving invoicing errors, assisting with patient transport and restocking of the Dove Shuttle; assist with managing and creating the departmental budget, building relationships with vendors; performing minor in house repairs; participating in regular inventory counts and audits; and generally providing company wide support and assistant for various facilities, equipment, and inventory tasks as needed.

Wage Range:

This position will pay $22-26 per hour depending on education, certification, and experience.

Who we are looking for:

Education and Experience

• Education equivalent to a High School diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary or related medical field experience.

• Experience with troubleshooting and performing lab equipment maintenance.

• Experience or ability to provide support to users.

• In-depth knowledge of hospital operations.

• Any suitable combination of experience or education will substitute.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical equipment, drug inventory, and veterinary hospital operations.

• Working knowledge and strong familiarity with computers, including experience with Microsoft 365.

• Proficiency with MS Office.
